Product Review | L'AVANT Collective

Plant-Based Cleaning Products

I recently came across L'AVANT Collective and wanted to know what the hype was all about. I've been veering towards more eco-friendly, non-toxic products for my home cleaning and I liked the idea of supporting a women-owned company which promotes plant-based products that spoke to me as a mother.

And so... I gave myself a budget ( with the 15% off new customer discount code! ) to splurge on a few items from their line to give it a try and let you know if it's worth the investment.

Minimalist & Luxurious Dispensers

I liked the look of their minimalist, yet luxuriously elevated soap pumps and spray bottles. Their color options range in blush tones, matte black, to clear glass with customizable pumps and nozzles in white/black/gold. Make sure you select from their drop down menu so you don't just add the pre-selected color to your cart if you want to customize to your aesthetics.

I went with the clear glass containers with the black soap pump and clear plastic spray bottles ( which I applied waterproof cleaning labels for refills of my kitchen and bathroom cleaning products ) to go with my home's modern, but leaning towards a more elegant, aesthetic. What stood out to me is the gold neck of the pump is a matte, brushed champagne gold and not the gaudy polished brass tone that can look cheap and is more readily stocked at big-box retailers. Paired with the sturdy glass bottle, it is a heavier quality that feels so nice to grasp and durable to continue to refill with your product. Their bottles have a unique textured design on the bottom that reminds me of a wavy sea scroll of sorts. Kind of like luxurious beachy vibes. I hope that makes sense to you. The quality and details are worth the price.

I also splurged on, ( and only because of the discount code and to have a matching branded set ) the marble tray as I do have marble accents in my kitchen and the sizing fit perfectly in the placement for my sink area. I know... probably overpriced for a marble tray I could've stumbled across at a TJ Maxx/HomeGoods, but it was out of convienience with the exact measurements ( 12" x 6" ) I needed for my counter space, and it had the branding that made my set feel complete. The satin brass trim was also a nice touch that distinguised this tray from some random one I might find at TJ Maxx/HomeGoods. So, I added to cart and don't regret it.

It looks gorgeous on my counter and the glass soap bottles perfectly nestle beside each other with a corner space in the tray to set the eco-friendly bamboo and sisal fiber dish scrubber that I also bought. The set of loofa-fiber sponges are also a nice organic touch to add to this collection. Added to cart.

"Blushing Bergamot" Scent

I was wondering if the soaps were clear or colored since I purchased the clear glass dispensers. Turns out, the dish soap is clear. However, the hand soap is not clear and is an orange-tint that did not look flattering in the glass bottle. It did not contrast well with the gold on the pump and overall, the orange did not go with my aesthetic. I opted to refill it with a creamy white hand soap that brought back the elegance.

The smell was also too strong for my preference. I was hoping it would be a more sweet and delicate citrusy note of bergamot, but it had a more musky, almost masculine cologne scent that I could not keep testing to come around to. I had buyer's remose for buying these refills with this initial investment. But because I didn't want the product-filled colored glass containers and had purchased the empty clear glass bottles with the intent to refill with product, I bit my nails and went with the refill soap pouches hoping I would love them to continue to refill the pretty dispensers. Unfortunately, I did not love and they were the more expensive products I purchased.

I would not recommend investing in any refills of the soaps or concentrated refill spray bottles until you have tried it to know if the scent sits well with you to be lathering your hands, dishes, and countertops with it. I didn't attempt the "Fresh Linen" scent. I'm more of a subtly sweet vanilla girl, and couldn't handle the musky notes that took over and overwhelmed my senses. I opted for my usual and LOVED. Palmolive Free & Clear Dish Soap to lather up my dishes and senses with pleasure.

My Product LOVE. Review Recommendations

I LOVE. the spray bottles, both in the shorter and wider 16 oz. glass and tall and slim plastic bottle. I bought a set for my kitchen and bathrooms to refill with my usual cleaning products. The spray is so good and covers with a nice, even spritz of product. Yes! to spray bottles.

I LOVE. the clear glass soap pumps and have a set for my kitchen for hand and dish soap with the branded marble tray, dish scrubber, and loofa-fiber sponge set. Yes! to elegant glass pumps and all the pretty natural stone and fibers accessories.

I did not LOVE. the "Blushing Bergamot" scent and tried them in the hand soap, dish soap, and concentrated spray refills. No for me to the scented products.

I hope you enjoy elevating your kitchen with luxurious cleaning products that suit your fancy!

With Product LOVE. Always,

Thuy
