SOUL GROWTH | Hatred

There are a lot of twisted reasons why hatred will spew out to un-lovingly break one down.

I too have hated. and I have been hated.

I have been hated for speaking my truth, for it shattered the lies.

I have been hated for my silence, for they wanted a reaction to stir up noise.

I have been hated for remaining in peace, for they wanted to rile up a storm.

I have been hated for standing up, for they wanted to see me lay broken upon my fall.

I have been hated for holding one accountable, for they can no longer excuse oneself.

I have been hated for standing up for what is right, for wrongs that were allowed for too long.

I have been hated for my wrongs, to which I made rejected efforts to make it right.

I have been hated for being full, for they sought to continue taking from me until I was empty.

I have been hated for being loving, for it then only fueled their hatred.

I have been hated for shining my light, for it illuminated their darkness.

I have been hated for being me, for I am nothing like they tried to shape me.

They may hate you because they want what you have or to be who you are, but are not willing to do the work for themselves to also attain it. Some will gather others to hate you along with them so they are not alone in their hate. Some will continue to hate you without cause for it's all they felt for you over one perceived wrong or a certain idea they made up of you, and it's a comfort to stay stubborn in that hatred to validate their past feelings. The ego will not allow them to crumble and come to feel differently about you, maybe even coming to love you but cannot and will not admit it.

There will be those who convince themselves they are of love, and yet their energy emanates hatred.

There will be those who hate you for no reason at all.

It is not your responsibility to persuade them otherwise, especially if you've already made an effort to right any wrongs. They thus choose to reside with their own hatred.

If someone has that much hatred, especially if it is unfounded or the transgression has come to pass, consider it a blessing that you don't have to be in their company more than they can tolerate you.

I used to care so much to cooperate tirelessly with others thinking the "can't we all just get along?" approach, to then still be hated. It taught me we're not going to everyone's cup of tea, and we not theirs. This will solidify the importance of being authentic to yourself - for yourself.

We tend to place hate on those we see as the thorn in our side. We place it outwardly on them so we don't have to face inwardly, to see that the hate actually resides in us.

When we can finally confront the hatred that resides within us, we take the first steps in honoring that such hate actually helps us to recognize the contrast of choosing love.

Oh yes, I have been hated.

Even more so, I have now learned the value of continually choosing the healing power of love. To have been hated enough to know how vital it is to one's well-being to be cloaked in love - to allow love to wash over and soothe any of the hate out of my own soul.

May we be one less person spewing hateful energy out into the Universe by doing so.

With LOVE. Always,

Thuy
